Catherine Brown Teitelbaum, beloved educator, friend, and grandmother, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2015 due to a lung-related illness.

Cathy taught third grade in the El Segundo Unified School District from 1984 until her retirement in 2010. Over the course of her remarkable career, Cathy served as a mentor and master teacher, received her Masters in Education, and earned countless honors and accolades from parents, the school, and ESUSD. For Cathy, teaching was a calling – she cared for students as her own and worked to foster a love of learning in each child.
