The Vision
The El Segundo Education Foundation (Ed!) is a community and business-driven fundraising organization that supplements state funding, providing our students with a holistic education. Ed! funds science, the arts, health and wellness, business, biomedical science, and engineering programs to introduce and inspire all students to pursue their academic goals.

Ed! was founded in 1983 by a small group of parents, businesses, and district administrators who were committed to strengthening El Segundo's public schools. Since public school funding from California has become inadequate over the last thirty years, Ed! has become the mechanism for families, businesses, and the community to direct funding to preserve programs threatened by the state's volatile funding model.
Ed! provides the means for the community and local businesses to invest in superior public education for all students. The decades of support from Ed! equates to over $37,000.000 in direct funding to build a foundation of excellence in our El Segundo schools.
