After 22 years of inspiring young people all over the world with their International Music Outreach Tours – 350 shows in 17 countries last year alone – The Young Americans has added a stop on their summer route in El Segundo: “The Young Americans International Summer Camp!” Combining five days of intensive training for students grades 3rd – College, a dynamic group of 40 college-age teachers, many of whom have just returned from teaching in South Africa, Europe, China, and Japan, will give your camper an experience like no other! Singing, dancing, improvisation, and acting workshops are just the beginning as your campers fill a week of their summer with new friendships, incredible training and having a blast! Students will have the experience of a lifetime in this non-competitive, motivating and supportive environment.

Your camper will take classes in every genre of the performing arts industry including songwriting, professional dance, vocal performance, and audition skills; all of which contribute to a musical variety show at week’s end. Students will also have the opportunity to learn from a few guest master teachers who are top artists, choreographers, and writers in the industry.

The final performance, JUMP, a musical variety show tailor made to the ages and abilities of your students, will feature family favorites from Broadway, Disney movies, remixed oldies and some of today’s most popular hits. Preparing for this performance gives your student important tools to grow as an artist, and most importantly, to grow as a person.

As the world’s largest non-profit youth music advocacy organization, The Young Americans’ purpose is to educate each community on the importance and benefits to students from participation in the performing arts. In keeping with that philosophy, our goal is to raise funds for Corona’s music programs through our Summer Camp show ticket sales. The finale, JUMP, presented on day five in partnership with the El Segundo School District and the Ed! Foundation is our opportunity to do just that. Together we will give back to the community, supporting music awareness while sharing with students continuing inspiration and education in the arts.

This year’s summer camp will be held on July 29 – August 2 at El Segundo High School. The cost for the camp is $225, which includes the five-day camp and a camp T-shirt. For multi-family members registering together, any family that registers 2 or more family members together will receive $15-20 off per registrant. This is applied at the end of the registration process. Please join us for this once in a lifetime event and sign your student up today for a week they will never forget!
